Invitation depicts four devices, suggesting multiple Motorola launches

Motorola is preparing to hold an event in Chicago on September 4th, according to invitations sent to members of the media. Though light on detail, the invitation depicts an animated paper fortune teller showing four images, suggesting the smartphone producer could potentially have four devices launching at the event at the same time.

The four images on the invitation, received by The Verge, show a watch, an earpiece, and two smartphones with the letter X and letter G on each. The smartphones could indicate the rumored follow-up to the Moto G will be shown alongside the expected update to the Moto X, called the Moto X+1. The watch image is likely to represent the Moto 360, an Android Wear smartwatch which has already been shown by the company, but has yet to be released.

So far, there have been no rumors of Motorola making an earpiece, something which would fit the fourth invitation image. It is possible the company is working on a Bluetooth headset or some headphones, ones which could potentially work with the Moto 360.
