Toshiba Encore Mini includes Office 365 Personal, entry-level specifications
Toshiba has introduced two devices running Windows 8.1 at IFA, adding to its existing Radius and Encore ranges. The Satellite Radius 11 is a convertible notebook able to switch between tablet and notebook modes, while the Encore Mini is a 7-inch tablet offering full Windows 8.1 with Bing and Microsoft Office 365 Personal preinstalled.
The Encore Mini has a resolution of 1024x600, backed by a quad-core Intel Atom processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. Equipped with rear 2-megapixel and front 0.3-megapixel cameras, the tablet has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and wireless display support, and a microUSB port, with 1TB of OneDrive storage and 60 Skype calling minutes also bundled with the device. Toshiba expects to ship the Encore Mini in September, priced at $119.

The Satellite Radius 11 is able to move the keyboard behind the display using its hinge, with five different "modes" available to use. Offering an 11.6-inch 1366x768 touchscreen, the Radius 11 is powered by an Intel Celeron processor with 4GB of RAM and 500GB of storage, along with HDMI, USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, an SD card reader, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, DTS Sound processing for the stereo speakers, and a HD webcam. Shipping in the UK in the fourth quarter, the Satellite Radius 11 will be priced at £329 ($542) including taxes.
