Lenovo Y70 Touch gaming notebook, Erazer X315 unveiled at IFA

Y70 Touch gaming notebook has 1080p 17-inch touchscreen

Alongside the Tab S8, Lenovo launched two computers aimed at gamers at IFA. The Y70 Touch gaming notebook packs a 17.3-inch 1920x1080 display with touch controls, while the Erazer X315 is a desktop gaming PC claimed to be an affordable system shipping with a choice of a quad-core 3.1GHz AMD Kaveri A8 or quad-core 37GHz Kaveri A10 processor.

The Y70 Touch includes processor options up to a quad-core Haswell-based Intel Core i7, with up to 16GB of RAM, and Nvidia GTX 860M graphics with 4GB of VRAM. Storage options extend up to a 1TB SSHD with 8GB SSD cache or a 512GB SSD, with the Windows 8.1 notebook also including a card reader, two USB 3.0 ports, USB 2.0, HDMI, SPDIF, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a backlit keyboard, and a 720p webcam. Weighing 7.5 pounds and measuring 1.1 inches thick, the heavyweight notebook's battery is claimed to last for up to five hours.



The A8 model of the Erazer X315 includes Radeon R9 255 graphics, 1TB of SSHD storage with an 8GB cache, and 8GB of RAM, with the version using the A10 using an R9 260, 12GB of RAM, and upgrading the SSHD to 2TB with an 8GB cache. Both models include four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, a 7-in-1 card reader, Dolby 7.1-channel audio processing, and an undescribed optical disc drive.



Lenovo will begin shipping the Y70 Touch in October, starting from $1,300, while the Erazer X315 will be available from November from $600.
