Europe gets Samsung Omnia M in lieu of Focus 2
Samsung has mentioned on the company's blog that its Omnia M will be released in Europe soon. The handset, which was announced just days after the US-bound Focus 2, will feature a four-inch Super AMOLED display with a glare-reduction coating, along with Samsung-specific apps and 25GB of SkyDrive cloud storage.
Sporting a 1GHz processor, 4GB of integrated storage and 384MB of RAM, the phone comes with Samsung's cloud-based sharing app Family Story, the cross-platform ChatON instant-messaging service, AllShare for direct-to-TV media playback, and Music Hub with Smart DJ. Windows Phone People Hub unifies all contacts over multiple networks into one location, with video-calling using both the front facing camera and rear facing 5-Megapixel camera.
Samsung has been contacted for a release date and price for the Omnia M, but it has already been confirmed that the handset will be launched in Europe first and then rolled out to other regions.
