Jetsetter USB features flight-friendly Swiss Army implements

Victorinox Swiss Army has added a new line of portable USB drives aimed at increasing the overall usability of thumb drives. The new Jetsetter line of drives packs flight-friendly Swiss Army implements into a detachable USB flash drive form factor along with security software specific to Macs. The Jetsetter line comes with scissors, a bottle opener, a magnetics Phillips screwdriver, wire stripper, key ring, and LED mini light.

The drives are USB 2.0 compatible, and each comes preloaded with software enabling users to encrypt files, securely store personal information, and browse the Internet securely. Along with the aforementioned Swiss Army implements, the drives can come with a nail file, ballpoint pen, and tweezers.

The 8GB Jetsetter is available for $40, while the 16GB and 32GB models retail for $50 and $100, respectively. They are available for purchase exclusively at Apple's online and retail stores and were featured in Apple's 2012 Holiday Gift Guide.

That is a pricey thumb drive.

True, but there are the other features on this particular one, plus the novelty factor. I doubt I'd pick it up at that price, but there are likely those who would.

Flight friendly? Scissors? I don't think so. There's just no way these would get past screening.
