Lightroom gets Retina support for Library, Develop modes

Adobe has released the final versions of its Lightroom 4.3 and Camera Raw 7.3 updates. Of the two, Lightroom may be the most significant, since it adds HiDPI (Retina display) support to Lightroom's Library and Develop components. With both updates, though, the emphasis is on adding RAW format compatibility for 20 different cameras.

Newly-supported Canon cameras include the EOS 6D, and the PowerShot S110, G15, and SX50 HS. For Nikon the additions are the D600, D5200, and 1 V2; for Pentax they're the Q10 and the K-5 II and IIs, and incorporated Sony models are the DSC-RX1, NEX-VG30, and NEX-VG900. Remaining camera additions include the Leica M-E, Panasonic's DMC-GH3, Casio's Exilim EX-ZR1000 and EX-FC300S, and Olympus' STYLUS XZ-2 iHS, PEN E-PL5, and PEN E-PM2.

Lightroom 4.3 is a free download for existing Lightroom 4 owners. The Camera Raw plugin is also free, but only designed to extend format support in Photoshop CS6.

I want to like Lightroom but it costs $70 more than Aperture without much different in features so Adobe's missing out on Mac user base.
