Apple offers free 2-3 day shipping to beat the holiday rush

The online Apple store has posted a banner at the top of the page informing customers that they can "get it in time for the holidays with free 2-3 day shipping on everything in the store." The promotion is an annual benefit Apple provides to last minute online shoppers, and has been offered for the last six years.

Chinese iPhone 5 contain a free micro USB to Lightning adapter?

With the iPhone 5 launch in China on Friday, the box will reportedly include a free Lightning-to-micro-USB adapter as part of the accessories included with the device. The adapter is also included with the European Union's iPhone 5 shipments, as a result of a European Commission ruling demanding that all smartphones sold be compatible with a micro USB cable. No equivalent doctrine exists in China, so presumably the adapter is included to simplify shipping and logistics of the phone to the country. The cable is not included in North American versions of the iPhone 5.

BuQu rolls out Magnetyze induction charging case for iPhone 4, 4S

BuQu Tech has rolled out its Magnetyze Extended Battery Magnetic Charging System for the iPhone 4 and 4S, the latest addition to its growing family of mobile accessories. The Magnetyze protective case includes a built-in extended lithium-ion battery, adding up to 40 hours to the iPhone’s battery life, translated as 10 hours for video and movies and seven hours of talk time or web browsing. The unit, priced at $90, will be available for purchase on the BuQu Tech website after December 21.
