How to force Applications folder to open in Finder

This week in the MacNN Forums, Grizzled Veteran "jmiddel" was looking for a way to force the Applications folder to open in the finder, a few suggestions have been made, but a solution has yet to be found. Forum members discuss the strange ways Photoshop works on a Mac in this thread started by Forum Regular "PeterParker" earlier this week.

Today, "angelmb" was having some trouble with Camino and Outlook webmail, so they turned to the forums looking for some advice. The conversation continues in the thread titled "time to spruce up my iMac" which was started around the holidays.

Dedicated MacNNer "raleur" is wondering if anyone has used Apple's USB SuperDrive, or a third-party equivalent, join in here to add your thoughts to the conversation.
