TED iOS app adds subtitle support

TED has launched an update for its iOS app that provides access to the entire library of TEDTalks. With the v2.0 update users can now view subtitles in more than 90 languages directly on their device, or on external displays via AirPlay. New language specific catelogs are also included, allowing users to browse through a curated list of talks in any of the supported languages. In addition, the update claims to offer faster download speeds, improved buffering, and more profiles for different connections.

WordPress adds Notification Support to iOS app

The iOS version of WordPress has been updated with new support for receiving Push Notifications for all blog events. Users are given control over which notifications they want to receive, including support for muting individual events or an entire blog. Options for viewing, moderating, and replying to comments have also been merged into a single screen. In addition to these new features, several known bugs were also resolved. Users with multisite self-hosted blogs can now correctly view stats for the sites they belong to, and offline drafts should no longer be deleted erroneously.
