Matrox has released a set of drivers, which provide full RTMac functionality under Mac OS X: "This version will probably be the last beta before the final release. It improves audio/video synchronization, and has overall improvements in performance and stability. The G5 is not currently supported because of bugs in Mac OS X and the G5 firmware." Registration is required to download the software. It works with Final Cut Pro (Mac OS X) and offers WYSIWYG support for Adobe After Effects and Discreet combustion.

    Let's See...

RTMac was originally released before OS X was even available in a final release. It has taken them 3 years just to develop drivers for this product? This product was useful if all you had was the most powerful mac at the time, a 500mhz G4. But now, with the dual 1.25 GHz G4 and Dual G5s, its importance is almost nonexistant. Matrox has lost a lot of customers in the last 3 years on the mac side. Anyone interested in improving video rendering speed, do yourself a favor and by a product from BlackMagicDesign instead.
