Full-size discs can hold 50GB. The applications of a smaller one are fairly minimal, but TDK does expect them to appear in Blu-Ray camcorders if the BRDA gives the green light. The company is also preparing a 50GB, inkjet-printable version of its regular BD-R disc, and is showing off a 200GB format that was first announced in April of last year but is still in development. The 50GB printable discs should be out in the second quarter. [Via The Register]
