HANNS.G ships five LCDs
HANNspee's computer display label HANNS.G this morning announced the immediate availability of five new LCDs. The line emphasizes widescreen even at the basic level, with two 17-inch, 1440x900 displays with 500:1 contrast and 8ms response in black (HW-173DBB) or silver (HW-173DB0); the company also has a trio of 19-inch displays, including two widescreen models (HG-191RPB and HW-194DJB) with a quicker 2ms pixel response and two-watt integrated speakers as well as a single standard-ratio model, the 8ms HS-191DPB.

Topping the line is the 22-inch HW-223DPB (shown), the company says. While displaying at a native 1680x1050 with a 5ms response time, the screen also includes a component-to-DVI adapter and will accept 1080p input from HD movie players as well as recent game consoles such as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Its contrast is also the highest at 1,000:1, according to the company.

All of the displays work with DVI-compatibile Macs and PCs, and have just been certified for use with Windows Vista. Prices for the two 17-inch models are $160; 19-inch models cost between $200 and $230, while the lone 22-inch model is set at $330. The five LCDs are shipping today.
