In addition to its wired headsets, Plantronics today also unwrapped a lone Bluetooth headset that will ship relatively soon after the iPhone's appearance in stores. The Voyager 520 is designed to be comfortable and technically capable enough to last an entire working day, with a soft ear hook and up to eight hours of continuous calls on a single lithium-ion battery charge. Call controls are also as simple as possible with the answer button doubling as a rocker switch for adjusting volume. The headset is also simpler to use outside of calling, with a QuickPair feature that links the device to most any Bluetooth phone without an intricate sync process and a custom dock that saves the trouble of plugging the headset into a wall outlet or leaving a stray cable. Voyager 520 units are set to launch in August, when they will sell for $100.
