IntelliScanner SOHO scanner, software bundle
IntelliScanner today unveiled IntelliScanner SOHO for Mac as well as PC systems. The scanner integrates with popular third-party accounting and database applications to help users organize various assets -- including media with barcode technology. IntelliScanner SOHO includes software designed to track internal assets, business inventory, and media. IntelliScanner SOHO ($300 introductory price) includes a portable USB-based barcode scanner, software, and pre-printed barcode tags.

The software provides detailed reports on where assets are, and notifies users when stock is running low with totals of what's in stock. Advanced tools allow users to change quantities on-the-go, as well as support for performing full inventory audits.

"Small businesses have unique problems, and we've created a product that's designed to help organize, automate and keep track of where things are," said Paul Scandariato, CEO of IntelliScanner. "IntelliScanner SOHO gives every business the tools they need to see what they have, where it is and what they have invested."

The scanner supports easy integration with third-party applications like FileMaker Pro, Bento by FileMaker, QuickBooks, and MYOB. Users can create as well as search database records in FileMaker Pro, add items to invoices in MYOB and QuickBooks accounting software, populate spreadsheet cells, and more.

Advanced keyboard emulation software 'types' barcodes into third-party applications as if entered on the keyboard, according to IntelliScanner, while silicon MEMS scanning mirror technology adds barcodes to any small business with no prior barcode experience necessary.
