Verizon today added the Samsung U550 clamshell to its roster of mid-range phones. The flip phone boasts external touch controls for navigating music (including tracks from Verizon's V CAST Music store) and is capable of both V CAST streaming video over its 3G link as well as capture through the phone's built-in 1.3-megapixel camera, including in the dark through a special Night Shot mode.Besides its music and photo abilities, the U550 also packs a microSD card slot for storage as well as Bluetooth for both hands-free calls and stereo audio with the right headphones or speakers. The U550 should be available through Verizon's website and in shops today and sells for $70 after factoring in a two-year contract and a rebate. |
