As Metal Gear Solid 4 approaches release, Sony and Konami have released definitive details about two previously mentioned console bundles, with some apparent tradeoffs between them. Crave reports that the limited edition gunmetal grey 40GB model features the same downside as the standard version, in that it can not play Playstation 2 game titles. The special edition will, however, come with a soundtrack and a Blu-ray disc with a behind-the-scenes documentary.
The standard black-finish model features an 80GB hard drive, but is also able to boot older game titles, and comes with a flash card reader. While both models feature Metal Gear Solid 4, the latter version also features a free download of the Pain minigame from the online store.
The limited edition gunmetal grey PS3 will sell for $600, while the standard edition bundle will be available for $500 by the end of June.
