Altec Lansing, a subsidiary of Plantronics, took the opportunity offered by Berlin's IFA 2008 show to unveil its FX3022 speaker system earlier this week. The system is labeled as a 2.2-channel set-up, meaning it has two 1.5-inch drivers to reproduce the mid- and high-sound frequencies and a couple of 4-inch down-firing subwoofers to deliver the low-tone bass frequencies. The piano black speakers will be able to connect to computers and other audio devices with a 3.5mm audio jack.
Altec Lansing will release the speaker set in October in Europe, priced at the equivalent of about $190. [via MacWorld]
