LG brings 3D World to Cinema 3D TVs in 70 markets

LG Electronics on Monday launched 3D World, a content service for owners of the company's Cinema 3D Smart TVs, in 70 countries. The service replaces the original 3D Zone Smart TV app that came out in 2011, and lets users access what is billed as high-quality 3D content through a dedicated shortcut icon on the connected TVs' Home Dashboard. Owners of 2011 Cinema 3D Smart TVs will be able to get access to the service using an app, while 2012 TVs will have it built into the Home Dashboard as part of a streamlined card system.
