The Advent Vega has received an unofficial update to Android 3.2. The improved version of Honeycomb is being offered by the tablet's dedicated user community TabletRoms. The major improvement on the tablet over earlier hacked installs is full native graphics acceleration.

Devs create Android 3.0 alpha ROM for Advent Vega
The Advent Vega tablet has just received an unofficial Android 3.0 hack along with a GPU boost, thanks to a creative developer over on the XDA-Developers forum. Zebwen ported Android 3.0 while others, including newbe5, Corvus and HomerSp helped out and the four have now achieved hardware acceleration. The Alpha ROM is also now available for download.

Advent Vega tablets get Flash 10.1 support back
Soon after introducing its Android tablet, Advent Vega pulled Flash support for the device because the code didn't work with some sites. At the time, the company promised it would bring it back once ready, early in 2011, and has now said it's made good on that. The Build 1.09 update is now available for download and contains Flash 10.1 support.

Advent Vega tablet sells out in hours on Friday
The 10-inch Advent Vega Android tablet that uses NVIDIA's Tegra 2 platform has been sold out within a few hours of being posted up for sale online. Both PC World and Currys webstores carried the new device for $400. PC World maintained that the sellout was due to unprecedented demand, though it's unclear just how many units were up for sale.
