US Cellular starts up prepaid smartphone plans

US Cellular offers prepaid Optimus U, Apex
US Cellular on Thursday said it would start offering the LG Optimus U and LG Apex smartphones on prepaid plans for the first time, starting April 15. The Optimus U will cost $200 and the Apex $250, and both are powered by Android, with the former sporting the 2.2 version of the OS, the latter 2.1.
