Chrome 7 gets Applescript, "hundreds" of bugfixes
Google has released a new stable build of the free Chrome browser, v7.0.517.41 for the Mac, including full Applescript support for UI automation and an updated HTML5 parsing algorithm. "Hundreds" of bugs were fixed, according to the developer blog, and users now have a new dialog for managing blocked cookies en masse.

Update improves frameworks for more accessibility
PFiddlesoft has upgraded its AppleScript attachment software with UI Actions 2.0. Users can attach AppleScript actions to native Mac OS X apps, triggering scripts whenever predetermined actions are taken in a host program. Any interface element in any app can be used to launch any action, a key distinction from the more limited Apple Folder Actions and Digital Hub Actions.

GrandTotal 1.2 ($65) is an invoicing application for Mac OS X that is designed for freelancers and small to mid sized companies. GrandTotal features a built-in editor that allows users to adjust their layout to fit a companies corporate design. Version 1.2 has added the ability to create Gross-Invoices, support for the iPhone, a status banner and the option to place mailed documents on a backdrop. AppleScript 1-2-3 guide
Peachpit Press has published AppleScript 1-2-3, a new guidebook for users and developers. The book is said to take readers step-by-step through the coding of AppleScripts, which can be used to automate many of the tasks a person normally performs on a Mac. 1-2-3 is particularly aimed at beginners, as it requires no previous programming experience, but is still said to offer information useful for experts.

OnMyCommand 2.1 (free) is the latest version of Abracode's "contextual menu command line instruction executor" for Mac OS X. Users can add their favorite commands to a master list, and execute them via a universal contextual menu at any time. Version 2.1 features a new progress dialog which allows users to translate command output text into GUI progress and also features support for my controls in custom Cocoa dialogs. Script Debugger 4.5 ships
Late Night Software has released Script Debugger 4.5, updating its AppleScript authoring environment with 28 major new features and improvements. The editor now fully supports Unicode on Leopard systems and there is a new scripts menu and inspector which supports OSA scripts, Unix scripts and Automator workflows. Script Debugger now auto-saves recovery information whenever a script is executed and script no longer have length limitations on Leopard systems. The editor now automatically closes AppleScript block structures, provides a Text Substitution feature for using keywords to replace long code-strings and the editor now automatically closes parentheses and quotes during typing.

Dupin duplicate mgr update
Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes has released Dupin 1.4, the latest version of its iTunes duplicate file manager. Genius playlists are now recognized, and a "Refresh Playlist Popup" toolbar button and menu option. Users can choose to limit the number of duplicates that are detecting during each session, or toggle between deleting files or moving them to trash. A date formatting issue has been fixed, certain alert sounds removed, and the user interface updated.

DMG Architect scriptable
Sourcebits has released DMG Architect 1.5, upgrading the DMG package making software with AppleScript support. AppleScript in DMG Architect allows the software to automate production of DMG packages. The v1.5 update also adds grid functionality for precise control over objects within the DMG container and new templates and bugfixes.
