Atlona shows us its LinkCast HD wireless system
Atlona, which started off making HDMI cables and related adapters, has introduced its LinkCast Wireless HD Audio/Video system. It will send uncompressed 1080p HD video over 5GHz WHDI frequencies at up to 40 feet away. The way it works, we were told, is by having the large base station connected to the HDTV, with a small, USB-like dongle plugging into the HDMI output of the source, be it a Blu-ray player, desktop or notebook computer or games console.

Atlona AT-PCLink sends UWB video, audio up to 30'
Atlona this week revealed that its AT-PCLink Wireless USB KVM switch is now shipping. The device works with Macs and PCs to wirelessly send DVI, USB and stereo audio signals up to 30 feet away using the Ultra Wide Band (UWB) standard. Users can plug in the switch to place their keyboards and mice away from their TVs or displays and computers.

Upscaling adapter puts PC video on HD displays
Atlona Technologies has announced its latest video switcher/scaler, an external adapter that converts audio and video signals from a PC or laptop to digital HDMI. Dubbed the AT-HDVieW, the adapter automatically upscales the signal to the external display up to a full 1080p HD resolution. The adapter incorporates VGA and stereo audio cables for signal input and is powered entirely by a single USB connection.

Atlona adapter converts DVI to Mini DisplayPort
Atlona has recently introduced its DVI to Mini DisplayPort Converter, the AT-DP200, that finally lets users convert their notebook or other dual-link DVI video outputs into the Mini DisplayPort connection found on Apple's 24-inch LED Cinema Display. Up until now, it was impossible for users of Macs before the unibody MacBooks, or any Windows-based PC, to easily use the Apple-developed but now standard output format with their peripherals.
