Browser changes Sync and UI, Accounts adds cloud account connections

Mozilla has announced the next beta version of the Firefox browser, Firefox Aurora, has been released with updates the Firefox Sync and a new customizable user interface. Along with the changes to Aurora, the company has also unveiled Firefox Accounts, a service to bring history, user accounts and browser tabs across devices in a centralized secure account.

Alienware Aurora gets faster thanks to new chips

Dell has updated its Alienware Aurora gaming desktops introduced at the past CES show. The new PC is being touted as the most advanced Alienware desktop created thus far, sporting a choice of second-generation, six-core Core i7 chips ranging in a factory-overclocked clock speed between 3.9GHz and 4.2GHz, along with the X79 Express chipset and as much as 16GB of quad-channel DDR3 RAM. Active vents and a liquid-cooling system are present to keep the system running quietly.

Alienware intros gaming PC

Alienware on Wednesday announced it has released the Aurora Online Gaming Edition desktop PC. The tower is meant to improve the online gaming experience thanks to the inclusion of a Killer NIC K1 network card from Bigfoot Networks that claims to reduce lag and deliver smoother, more responsive online gameplay. The PC includes AMD's Phenom X4 9950 CPU rated at 2.6GHz and also sports 4GB of RAM.

Device list slips BlackBerry Seawolf, shows Thunder

Two unknown new BlackBerry models have surfaced in an XML device list and suggest the smartphone line will grow larger still in the near future, says a leak from BGR. The list mentions a device known alternately as the Seawolf or 9110 that would be a variant of the still unreleased Kickstart clamshell (the 9100) that adds GPS. Past leaks would have the device also come with a 2-megapixel camera, a native headphone jack, and the same OS upgrade as the Bold. It uses GSM and appears to be a likely candidate as a replacement or supplement for the Pearl 8110 in use at AT&T.
