Ben Heck makes a 100-disc changer for Xbox 360
Element 14's Ben Heck, known for his creative hardware mods of electronic gadgets, has now built a game changer out of an old home theater CD changer for the Xbox 360. To achieve this, he used an old 100-disc Sony unit that brought the discs to the player. He then modified it to take the discs to the Xbox 360's disc drive.

Heck puts Xbox 360 into 1977 Atari console
Element 14's electronics modder Ben Heck has now been commissioned by Atari to create a piece of hardware that will play Atari's new games while reminding gamers of its hardware-building past. To achieve this, Heck tore out the brains of a brand new Xbox 360 and installed them into an emptied 1977 Atari console. The creation is also portable, as it has an integrated LCD screen.

Ben Heck builds wind-up charger for Android phone
In the latest episode of The Ben Heck Show on element14, modder Ben Heckendorn has built a kinetic wind-up charger for Android phones. For the project, Heck used a wind-up flashlight and a micro USB adapter, along with some solder, a Zener diode and a 10Ohm resistor. The total cost for the parts required is reported to be under $10.
