Canadian cellular provider Wind Mobile has confirmed that it is set to launch several new smartphones, including Samsung's Galaxy Nexus and RIM's BlackBerry Bold 9790 and the BlackBerry Curve 9360 in white. The announcement marks further expansion of the Nexus into the Canadian market, following on the heels of Rogers, Telus, Bell and Virgin Mobile.
T-Mobile is gearing up to launch the BlackBerry Curve 9360. TmoNews has revealed new marketing material for the RIM BlackBerry 7-based smartphone showing a promotional price of $230, as part of a prepaid service offering with the carrier. The phone is expected to hit T-Mobile's shelves on September 14.
RIM has officially launched the next-generation BlackBerry Curve running the new BlackBerry 7 OS. The Curve will be available either as the 9350, 9360 or 9370 with the three model variants essentially signifying the type of 3G-radio connection built in to the device and its network compatibility. The three devices all run an 800MHz processor matched with 512MB of RAM, although the 9370 includes 1GB of built-in storage versus 512MB in the 9350 and 9360.
Sprint is planning on discontinuing its HTC Evo 4G smartphone by October. SprintFeed reports that the flagship, along with several other phones launched in 2010, will be phased out as well. Sprint will discontinue the white model in September, and other versions in October.
The forthcoming Blackberry Curve series phone, the Sedona has been spotted for Verizon with a light-up trackpad. The new shots confirm that this is the CDMA variation of the next-gen Curve, which is also be accompanied by a GSM version dubbed Apollo on launch. The shots included below show the device running Blackberry’s next phone OS 6.1, which reportedly still needs to be debugged before an expected May launch at Blackberry World.
Research In Motion appears to be working on a new touchscreen handset, code-named Malibu, that shares a similar shape with the existing Curve. The mystery device will allegedly arrive with the official name Curve Touch, sources have told CrackBerry. The leaked roadmap, which is tied to CDMA offerings, suggests the smartphone is targeted to ship in the first quarter of 2012.

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 has surfaced in a hands-on look ahead of its launch on Verizon. The smartphone represents RIM's CDMA counterpart to the Curve 8520, although the latest model offers a few extras. The pre-release device, obtained by CrackBerry, was contained in a box labeled Curve 2, although it remains unknown if the company will use the moniker with official marketing.
The Blackberry Curve 8900 will be released on February 18th, 2009, alongside the Samsung Memoir handset with an 8MP camera, according to a Tuesday report. While this is not an official announcement from Blackberry manufacturer Research In Motion (RIM) and the source has not been revealed, the date is one week later than an earlier, allegedely leaked launch date of February 11th and narrows down a projected timeframe.
