Blue ships Life Pure XL smartphone with 5.5-inch 1080p display

Larger screen, battery, rear camera in Blue Life Pure XL

Blu has unveiled an updated and larger version of the Life Pure smartphone it launched in December. The Life Pure XL increases the display of its predecessor by half an inch to a Gorilla Glass 3-protected 5.5-inch version while retaining the 1080p resolution, giving it a pixel density of 401PPI and, thank to its smaller frame and 2mm bezel, has a front screen proportion of 81 percent.

Blu's Vivo 4.8 HD Android phone offered for $250 unlocked

Upstart Android manufacturer Blu has released a new midrange smartphone, the Vivo 4.8 HD. At 6.9mm thick (0.2 inches), the Vivo 4.8 HD offers a 4.8-inch screen with 720x1280 Super AMOLED display, the Vivo 4.8 has a 1.5GHz quad-core chip processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB of storage memory. Its camera functionality consists of an eight-megapixel rear and five-megapixel front-facing unit. Blu's Vivio 4.8 HD phone is available unlocked for $250, in black, white, yellow and pink.

Unlocked device has quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB RAM

Blu Products has launched another Android smartphone, just days after launching two other similar mobile devices in the United States. The Life Pure differs from the Studio 5.0 II and the Advance 4.0 in offering a five-inch Full HD 1080p display with a pixel density of 441 PPI, held within a single piece polycarbonate body that measures just 7.7mm thick.

New Blu Android smartphones differ in size, battery life

Blu Products has released a pair of budget Android smartphones that both support multiple bands, allowing it to connect to all GSM and HSPA+ networks in North America. The Studio 5.0 II and the Advance 4.0 are unlocked devices with virtually identical internals, with the only real difference between the two Android 4.2 devices being the physical size of the display.
