HTC to bring Gratia, 7Pro handsets to the UK

HTC on Thursday said it will ship its 7 Pro smartphone to the UK market next month, along with the HTC Gratia at the same time. The latter is an international version of the Android 2.2-powered Aria currently available at AT&T, while the former is a Windows Phone 7 device. The Aria/Gratia has a 3.2-inch, 480x320 LCD touchscreen, 600MHz CPU and a five-megapixel, flash-less camera.

RIM promises big announcement at MWC

BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM) on Thursday posted a Twitter update that says the company will make a "big announcement" next week at the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona. No other details are given, other than that users should keep an eye on the company's blog during the week of February 15th for the announcement. Third-party global distributor Brightpoint published the claim, but as one of RIM's closer partners has gained credibility.

Sprint handset dates leak

A Friday Engadget report has an apparent image of a Sprint inventory sheet that reveals ship dates and prices for a few previously spotted Sprint handsets. The screen capture reveals the Samsung M810, expected to be called the Dash when it reaches stores, will be available in Graphite and Bronze colors on April 15th at Sprint partner Brightpoint and the 19th at Sprint, with a contract-free price tag of $450.

Sprint handsets dated

A leaked image that seems to have a list of future handsets coming to Brightpoint and Sprint has been leaked on Thursday. The validity of the image is helped by its listing the same ship date of the Palm Treo Pro as the recent official announcement, although Brightpoint itself will get the handset a few days earlier, on March 11th. The image also reveals a $550 unsubsidized price providers. It also shows a variant of the BlackBerry Curve 8350i without a camera that will come to Sprint's iDEN network at an unspecified date, but will cost $480 without a contract.
