C720 Chromebook has 1.7GHz processor, 32GB storage
Acer has unveiled its first Chromebook running on a fourth-generation Intel Core i3 processor, in the form of an upgraded C720. Two models of the Chromebook have been launched, with both using the Haswell-based Core i3-40005U processor clocked at 1.7GHz, with the C720-3404 model having 4GB of RAM and the C720-3871 using 2GB and enjoying a lower price point.
Updated budget Acer Android tablets will appear at CES 2014
Acer will be adding to its Iconia tablet range with two updated models, the company has revealed. The revised Iconia A1-830 and Iconia B1-720, upgraded from the earlier Iconia A1and B1 respectively, will be joined at CES next week by the revised C720P Chromebook, an updated model of the touchscreen noteboook the company revealed in late November, though with some slight changes.
Reduction in price caused through lowering RAM in Acer Chromebook
Just one month after it launched the C720 Chromebook, Acer is introducing a marginally cheaper model. The C720-2848 is externally similar to the C720, with its internal specifications matching its stablemate too, except that the 4GB of RAM in the original has been lowered to just 2GB, with the price also dropping from $250 to $200.
