CTL 2goPad tablet arrives with Atom, Windows
CTL today began shipping the 2goPad, the finished version of its promised tablet. The 10-inch slate is one of the few shipping with Windows and uses typical netbook parts, such as its 1.66GHz Atom N450, 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive. The design accordingly has a relatively short five hours of battery life.

CTL plans multi-touch tablet for June
CTL launched a surprise entry into the tablet world on Thursday by showing a 2go Slate. Like HP's model, it shares some aesthetic similarities to the iPad and uses a customized version of the Windows 7 interface. The CTL version will actually be more advanced as it will use a modern, Pine Trail-era 1.66GHz Atom processor that should give it longer battery life and more performance.

CTL outs 10.1-inch Classmate PC netbook
CTL has introduced its next generation 2Go Classmate PC, and the first to sport a 10-inch display. The 2go Classmate PC E10 is another rebranded Intel Classmate PC, which itself was developed to compete with the OLPC XO Laptop. All are made to serve as educational tools in developing and developed nations alike. The 10.1-inch form factor allows for the use of a keyboard that is 90 percent the size of that of a conventional notebook, which is better than the 77 percent of the older, smaller models.

The 8.9-inch 2goPC sports a 1.6GHz Atom chip, has a resolution of 1024x600, and a VGA output.

Classmate Tablet for CTL
Intel's Classmate tablet convertible will make the transition to an individually available model through CTL, the third-party PC builder tells Engadget today. Much like its earlier effort with the non-touch Classmate, CTL will create a 2go PC version tailored more to the average home users than the students which make up the normal audience; the company is likely to use Windows XP or (if necessary) Vista in stores rather than the Linux used on some models and in direct online sales.

CTL 2go Nettop
Classmate PC reseller CTL plans to set a new floor for desktops with a nettop that shares the same design philosophy as Intel's portable. The 2go pc nettop will cost as little as $149 thanks to its use of a 1.6GHz Atom processor but desktop-oriented parts. The price undercuts ASUS' Eee Box in part by introducing the entry-level model as a barebones kit: the system comes without its own hard drive and leaves the user to pick the default storage as well as an operating system. This entry system will also have 1GB of memory.
