Watercolor sketch simulator Waterlogue released in App Store today
Photo editing app Waterlogue has been released for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, offering users the ability to alter images to simulate the appearance of watercolor sketches. Aimed at users who are not artists, Waterlogue provides easy-to-use preset tools to convert standard photos into watercolor paintings by controlling "wetness," pen outlines and color.
Beta version available for users running preview of Mavericks
Maintain, a Mac applications developer, has released version 7.0 Beta 1 of system utility Cocktail. Cocktail is a digital toolset with a variety of features that lets users repair and optimize their system. The application offers a combination of maintenance tools and interface 'tweaks'. Anticipating Apple's fall release of OS X Mavericks 10.9, the latest beta version of the software is intended for users running a developer preview. Cocktail for OS X 10.8 and earlier is available with a Single User License for $20.
Battery four times more powerful than iPhone 5's
Today, SwitchEasy released its Tanks high capacity portable battery for charging smartphones and other mobile devices. Tanks includes a 6000mAh battery, and can hold four times more power than the built-in iPhone 5 battery. The four-step white LED gauge clearly displays the battery's charge level, and charges using a standard USB connection. Available in white or black finishes, SwitchEasy's Tanks is available online for $70.
Cocktail at iPod event
Although Apple has remained silent regarding the exact date and subject of its special event scheduled for the week of September 7th, many believe the company will update its iPod product line. Others speculate that Apple will also introduce the rumored "Cocktail" format that bundles a whole album with additional content such as interactive booklets, sleeve notes, lyric sheets and artwork, according to CNET News.
