Canon has quickly introduced a direct competitor to Nikon's new D600 and Sony's Alpha 99, unveiling the EOS 6D full-frame prosumer DSLR. The 6D appears to merge features from the 5D series, pairing the Digic 5+ image processor of the Mark III with a new 20.2-megapixel CMOS sensor that falls closer to the specs of the Mark II, though the new offering is priced below either of the older models.
Nikon has introduced the D600, its smallest and most affordable full-frame DSLR. The camera features a 24.3-megapixel sensor, embracing the larger FX format and Expeed 3 engine of the company's professional-level D4 and D800. The body size and many other specs appear to take inspiration from the midrange D7000, which utilizes a smaller APS-C sensor, though the D600 brings other upgrades for video recording.
Sources have leaked an internal document from Sprint showing the Samsung Conquer 4G will launch on July 24. The Conquer 4G is believed to be the name given to the SPH-D600. Samsung had briefly posted a product page for the handset, which will use a 3.5-inch 320x480 display, a 1GHz processor, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and 3.2-megapixel primary sensor.
