DODOcase for Kindle Fire made available
DODOcase turned its high-end case-making to Amazon's Android tablet with the DODOcase for Kindle Fire. Like the iPad and BlackBerry PlayBook cases, the handmade case replicates the feel of a traditionally bound book and can be used both as a luxury case but also as a stealth case for those worried about conspicuous technology. The Kindle Fire itself sits in a bamboo tray that holds the slate while minimizing the ecological impact versus tree wood.
Monogram option costs $10 extra
DODOcase has upgraded its popular iPad 2 case with two new features. All versions of the case are firstly being equipped with magnets, in response to public demand, the company says. As with the Apple Smart Cover and other similar products, the new DODOcase magnets turn an iPad 2 on and off automatically when using the lid.
DODOcase now offering handmade cases for Kindle 3
DODOcase, known for its specialty case for the iPad, has just launched Kindle 3 covers. Each DODOcase is leather and handmade by artisans in San Francisco with the same traditional bookbinding techniques and tools used for Apple's tablet. The interior of the cases are made of bamboo to protect the Kindle.
