May be faked, but matches previous specs, leaks
A Japanese repair site has cleverly taken various parts that have been previously reported as being from the sixth-generation iPhone (often referred to as the "iPhone 5" to follow the iPhone 4S) and assembled a non-working casing to better illustrate what it believes the next iPhone, expected this fall, will look like. While the iLab Factory prototype could be a decoy or fake, the parts and assembly match various reports of the planned redesign and may represent a mostly-accurate look at the next model.

Verizon VCast MP3
Following on the heels of Real's Rhapsody MP3 store, Verizon today expanded its VCast Music store to include both MP3s and the Rhapsody subscription service. The former lets users of Verizon's PC software as well as any MP3-supporting cellphone on the company's 3G network download unprotected songs that can be used as the customer likes; that includes loading content on to phones that wouldn't otherwise support VCast songs or to outside software and devices, including iPods.

LG Dare Decoy Chocolate 3
Verizon on Wednesday responded in kind to the iPhone 3G with the unveiling of three new LG phones. The Dare is the second LG touchscreen phone at the US carrier but relies exclusively on its touch input rather than offering a hardware keyboard; it also represents a camera upgrade with a 3.2-megapixel sensor (up from 2.0) with better low-light handling and on-phone editing similar to the Viewty and other Europe-only phones.

LG Decoy Launch Leak
Verizon's edition of the LG Decoy has been given more definite launch information courtesy of a leak today from Phone Arena. The slider is now set to launch on June 16th and will be priced at $230 under a typical two-year contract; opting against a contract boosts the price to $350. The launch is slightly delayed from earlier reports that would have had the phone available today.
