HTC to bring Android 2.3 to four phones in Spring

An HTC spokesperson recently told SlashGear that the Desire HD, Desire Z, Desire and Incredible S will get a software update to Android 2.3 this spring. The Desire is the oldest handset, and this latest news should be good for owners, as the device was earlier said to get the update later than the spring and after the Desire S launches.

Leaks shows Bell getting Desire Z, Bold 9780 soon

A couple of leaks published by BGR online today reveal that Canadian provider Bell will launch the as yet unannounced BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone on November 2 and the HTC Desire Z on November 3. The 9780 will be available in both black or white and sports a 2.44-inch 480x360 display. It has Wi-Fi, BlackBerry 6, a five-megapixel camera with flash and 512MB of RAM.
