Sony Digital Paper e-ink tablet lowered in price by $100 to under $1,000
Sony has lowered the price of its Digital Paper e-ink tablet aimed at legal professionals and educators, though not by much. The tablet, complete with a 13.3-inch 1,200x1,600 e-ink display equipped with stylus input, a three-week battery life, and Wi-Fi connectivity, is said by The eBook Reader to have dropped from $1,100 to $999.
Sony Digital Paper can open, annotate PDF documents using touch, stylus
Sony has unveiled a new tablet that uses an e-ink display for note taking and reading, one it trialled last year. Digital Paper is a 12.6-ounce device with a 1,200x1,600-resolution 13.3-inch display, capable of displaying 16 levels of grayscale, though it differs from e-book readers by offering both touch controls and using an accompanying stylus for handwriting, drawing, or for a finer level of control.
