Toshiba delivers 2D, 3D capable notebook
Toshiba has delivered the world’s first glasses-free 3D notebook PC able to display 3D and 2D content at the same time on the one screen. The dynabook Qosmio T851/D8CR employs Toshiba's 3D Window technology to deliver images in stereoscopic 3D in one window, while also being capable of showing 2D images in a separate window. The display technology allows users to watch 720p 3D images in one window without any need for wearing dedicated glasses, while at the same time working, browsing the internet or sending e-mail in another window.

Toshiba AC100 gets Tegra 250, Android
Toshiba's last portable launch of the day is as equally unique as the others, as it signals the company's first step into smartbooks. The AC100 is just 0.8 inches thick and weighs 1.9 pounds but should be capable of more than an Intel notebook through its processor. Through a 1GHz, dual-core Tegra 250, it should handle HD video but still survive for up to seven hours on a charge.

Toshiba dynabook TX98MBL plays 3D out of the box
Toshiba staked out a first in the PC field today with the dynabook TX/98MBL. The 15.6-inch system not only stands as Toshiba's first notebook with a 3D-capable display but the first anywhere to play Blu-ray movies. A combination of a 120Hz LCD, a GeForce GTS 350M with 3D Vision support, and a special version of WinDVD BD display the extra dimension with movies when using (bundled) active shutter glasses.

Toshiba dynabook RX2
Toshiba on Thursday introduced the dynabook SS RX2/WAJ, its latest notebook that features a 512GB SSD. The drive utilizes 2-bit-per-cell multi-level NAND flash memory to quadruple the density compared to the company's previous 128GB offerings, while a new controller is claimed to increase read speeds by 230-percent to 230MB/s. Write speeds have also been boosted by 450-percent to 180MB/s.

Toshiba dates NB200 for UK
On Wednesday, Toshiba announced it has added the Mini NB200 netbook to its UK lineup, which shares specs and is largely a rebadged version of the just-announced Dynabook UX headed for Western markets. Both use the same 10.1-inch widescreen LED-backlit display with 1024x600 resolution and near full-sized keyboard. The same options will be offered, with a standard 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor or the more powerful 1.66GHz N280 Atom sitting on the same 945GSE mainboard.

Toshiba Dynabook UX
NB100 8.9-inch netbook with the 10.1-inch Dynabook UX. Its LED backlit's screen size is bumped up to 10.1 inches, though the native resolution remains the same at 1024x600; the key pitch is now 19mm and comes with a "chiclet" design that significantly improves the feel. Besides the much sleeker design, it also moves to the slightly faster 1.66GHZ Atom N280 and its improved system bus.

Toshiba intros DynaBook NX
Toshiba on Monday announced it will soon launch the DynaBook NX notebook, which will be available either with a 128GB solid-state drive or conventional 160GB hard-disk. The 12.1-inch display is LED-backlit and combines with an onboard GMA 4500MHD graphics chipset to drive HD movie playback. Thanks in part to the use of Intel‘s newer 45nm, ultra-low voltage 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo processor, Toshiba rates the SSD-equipped dynabook‘s battery life at 11.5 hours, with the HDD model rated at 10.5 hours. Standard memory is set at 2GB but expandable to 3GB.
