The first image of the upcoming HTC One X smartphone has now been shared online by PocketNow. The phone, previously known as the Endeavor and Edge, will be a flagship device, said to be sporting a quad-core Tegra 3 chip and large, 4.7-inch HD touchscreen. Source corroborates earlier reports
HTC's upcoming Endeavor handset, which may be relabeled as the One X when it arrives in stores, has been detailed in yet another leak ahead of an official introduction. The latest information, which was posted by MoDaCo, corroborates many of the hardware specs that first appeared in several recent leaks, including a 1.5GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor.
NVIDIA Q4 disappoints but promises quick follow-up
NVIDIA in a mix of quarterly and yearly results disappointed investors even as it teased quad-core phones coming quickly. It expected its first fiscal quarter of the year to get it between $900 million and $930 million in revenue, under a $944 million average investor target, with a lower 49.5 percent margin on what it sold than the 52.1 percent most wanted. The company didn't say what prompted the particular outlook.
HTC may have streaming music and Bluetooth boombox
HTC could get into its own proper music service and more if sources are accurate. Beats co-creator and Interscope-Geffen-A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine was said by GigaOM's contacts to be working with HTC on a streaming music service that would be built-in with each phone and tablet. Details of how it would behave weren't yet ready, but it was being crafted as an anti-Spotify service to avoid giving the incumbent too much of an "iTunes-like" edge.
HTC Endeavor UI leaked all over the Internet
The yet to made official HTC Endeavor has had its ROM leaked on Chinese website ahead of its official unveiling expected at the World Mobile Congress. The leak has confirmed the rumored Tegra 3 processor and has also yielded screenshots of HTC’s revamped Sense 4.0 UI overlay for Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). In addition to confirming that the Endeavor will be one of the first Tegra 3 smartphones, it also offers the first look at how one of the leading Android smartphone makers has reworked Google’s stock ICS interface for its own hardware.
NVIDIA likely to show HTC Endeavor at MWC
NVIDIA has sent out invitations to a special event at Mobile World Congress that's likely a strong clue of what at least one partner will show at the event. It plans to show more "quad-core firsts," hinting that a Tegra 3 phone will appear at the event. Most likely, the reference is to either the HTC Endeavor or the upcoming Fujitsu Arrows phone.
