Eurocom gaming PC gets dual GTX 480M, 5870 GPUs
Gaming PC maker Eurocom has introduced a new 17.3-inch Panther 2.0 gaming notebook that is unique in offering both SLI and CrossFire capable graphics options. Choices include two ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5870s, two GeForce GTX 480Ms or single NVIDIA Quadro FX 3800M and Quadro FX 5000M GPUs. The processor choices scale up to desktop Core i7s including the 3.33GHz, six-core Extreme edition.

GeForce GTX 480M shows up in pro notebook
Eurocom inadvertently spoiled NVIDIA's mobile graphics plans today through the description of its X8100 Leopard mobile workstation notebook. The system now has the option of a GeForce GTX 480M that would presumably replace the 280M as NVIDIA's fastest notebook graphics. It doesn't appear to be a typo as it's described using the Fermi architecture, a much larger 2GB of video memory on one chip, and the newer 40 nanometer process used on newer GeForce chipsets.

Eurocom D900F Panther gets six-core Intel i7
Eurocom has recently released the first ever six-core notebook PC, the D900F Panther. The 17-inch desktop-replacement is knowingly thick and uses the space to house the 3.33GHz Core i7-980X or Xeon 5600 for desktop-level performance. It can be configured with either a screen with a resolution of 1920x1200 or 1680x1050, as well as up to 24GB of DDR3 RAM. The notebook can also house four hard drives, each sized at 640GB for a 2.56TB total capacity.

Clevo D900F specs revealed
The high-end Clevo D900F notebook first mentioned late last year and expected to launch early this year has been delayed until May, but specs for the Intel Core i7-powered notebook are now available. Clevo importer Eurocom has posted the specs on the high-performance 17-inch notebook, which is expected to be the world's first to offer the combination of a choice of the new chips, RAID 0/1/5 hard drive arrays and the as yet unannounced NVIDIA G280 graphics processor. The GPU will reportedly be released this summer.

Eurocom PHANTOM with Xeon
Catering to a niche of mobile pros, Eurocom today updated the PHANTOM-X to give the 17-inch desktop replacement its first quad-core workstation chip. The notebook is rebranded as a mobile server a 2.8GHz Xeon in place of its normal Core 2 Quad and Extreme processors to help handle professional-grade loads. The Canadian company also spins its multi-drive hard disk setup as a business option and lets users team up as many as three drives for up to 1.5TB of space in a RAID stripe or mirror. The larger bulk of the notebook also allows up to 8GB of memory.
