S Pen-enabled tablet loses 3G, 4G access in initial release
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 will go on sale in the United States on April 11th. The eight-inch tablet, bridging the gap between the 5.5-inch Galaxy Note II and the larger Note 10.1, reaches US shores only a few days after it had a limited early release in London, though it does not have any cellular data capability.

Galaxy Note 8.0 gets pricey London launch
Consumers looking to get their hands on Samsung's Galaxy Note 8.0 early are in luck, so long as they live near London. Samsung announced on Friday that its new mid-size, stylus-toting tablet is now on sale at the Samsung Experience Store at the Westfield Stratford City shopping center in London. The cost: £339 for a Wi-Fi-only, 16GB model.

Version with LTE connectivity not yet seen in certification
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has made an appearance at the FCC for certification. The filing shows that the phablet will support a 3G carrier connection over 800MHz and 1900MHz bands, and suggests that it may go on sale at the same time as its previously-examined Wi-Fi counterpart, though not necessarily in the United States

Galaxy Note 8.0 set to arrive in Charcoal Black as well as white
Although Samsung revealed its iPad mini-challenging Galaxy Note 8.0 last week at MWC, it only revealed a white version, which was slightly unusual given its propensity to offer models in at least two color variants. A leak courtesy of Phone Arena suggests that anomaly will soon be corrected, as it looks set to be joined by ‘Charcoal Black’ model as well. No details about specifications have been revealed, but it is safe to assume that they should be identical to the white variant.

Samsung adds another display size
Samsung chose to delay its Galaxy S IV unveiling until several weeks after Mobile World Congress, though the company did bring along a few new devices to show off this week in Barcelona. We dropped by the company's booth to handle the Galaxy Note 8.0, a new tablet that fits squarely between the Galaxy Note II smartphone and larger Note 10.1 tablet.

Midsize tablet focuses on S Pen functionality
Samsung has introduced a new tablet, the Galaxy Note 8.0, that adds yet another display size to the company's tablet offerings.
