Claims products copy look and feel of iPhone, iPad
Apple is suing South Korea's Samsung over the look and feel of some of its products, says the Wall Street Journal. Court documents were originally submitted on April 15th in the Northern District of California, and allege that several products in particular are violating Apple's intellectual property rights. These include the Nexus S, Epic 4G and Galaxy S 4G smartphones, as well as the Galaxy Tab, the first tablet considered a serious iPad competitor.

T-Mobile expands HSPA+ network, promises 42Mbps
T-Mobile's HSPA+ network has just expanded to ten new cities, the carrier announced on Tuesday. The country's largest such network is now available in Ames, Iowa; Anderson, Indiana; Battle Creek, Benton Harbor and Jackson, Michigan; Fort Collins-Loveland, Colorado; Lawrence and Manhattan, Kansas; Springfield, Illinois and Wichita Falls, Texas. Devices capable of supporting the higher speeds at T-Mobile include the Samsung Galaxy S 4G, T-Mobile G2 and myTouch 4G smartphones as well as the Dell Streak 7.

T-Mobile bumps up pricing for range of handsets
T-Mobile has bumped up the prices of many of its handsets as of yesterday, TMoNews reported on Wednesday. Following just after the launch of the Galaxy S 4G, the company has that bumped the myTouch 4G in price, along with the T-Mobile G2, to $250 on contract.

Set part of phone on fire to test magnesium claim
Following yesterday’s teardown of the Motorola Atrix, the team at iFixit have stripped a shiny new Samsung Galaxy S 4G of all its dignity and reduced it to a pile of pieces in their latest teardown. This time, there was the added twist of setting a piece of the Galaxy S 4G on fire to demonstrate that the structure of the phone was in fact comprised of magnesium, for weight reduction, as Samsung had claimed.

Galaxy S 4G is fastest among 4G offerings
Four handsets with the 4G moniker in their names were recently tested by MSNBC for download speeds. This includes the pre-production Galaxy S 4G due at T-Mobile, the currently available myTouch 4G from the same provider, the Sprint HTC Evo Shift 4G and AT&T's HTC Inspire 4G, along with the AT&T iPhone 4 that runs on 3G networks. The experiment found that not all 4G-labeled devices deliver the same kind of performance, which is what leads to consumer confusion.

Galaxy S 4G to cost $149 on contract at Walmart
The upcoming Galaxy S 4G may cost $149 on a two-year contract, according to a leaked image, Android Life reported on Monday. The uncovered Walmart price lines up with the retail giant's 88-cent pricing schemes. The subsidized price will require a two-year smartphone contract or a full upgrade.

T-Mobile launches notify me page for Galaxy S 4G
T-Mobile has now confirmed that the Galaxy S 4G smartphone is indeed coming to the provider. No launch dates are yet available, and even the image is purposely edited as to not show any specifics. The page does allow users to sign up for updates, with more information promised to come in the coming weeks.
