Samsung prepping Galaxy S 4 Mini for quick launch, May launch likely
Samsung is expected to launch a Galaxy S 4 Mini soon after the 5-inch Galaxy S 4 goes on sale next month, reports Bloomberg, lending weight to an earlier rumor pegging its launch for May. Samsung took a similar approach with the 4.8-inch Galaxy S III, following it up with the 4-inch Galaxy S III Mini. Although carrying the same branding as the Galaxy S 4, the Galaxy S 4 Mini will follow in the footsteps of the Galaxy S III Mini in utilizing much lower specifications than its flagship stable mate.
Similar handset to Galaxy S III Mini revealed with improved processor
Samsung has quietly launched a new Ice Cream Sandwich-based smartphone in the US. The Galaxy Axiom, a four-inch Android 4.0 handset with 4G LTE connectivity has appeared on the US Cellular website with little fanfare, and seems to share a similar style and specifications list to the previously-announced Galaxy S III Mini.
Mid-range offering out on all major UK networks
Samsung has revealed the street date for the Galaxy S III Mini in the UK. The smaller four-inch follow-up to the company's flagship handset will be going on sale from Thursday 8th November, and will be available across all major networks, high street shops, and other retailers at the same time.
Reduced size, lower specifications compared to original Galaxy S III
Samsung has officially unveiled its long-rumored Galaxy S III Mini. The smaller sibling to the well-received and high-selling Galaxy S III, it offers a slightly smaller 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display and marginally reduced specifications. As an entire package, it appears to be a mid-range offering for customers wanting the Galaxy S III experience, if not the size or cost.
