Expands Griffin Technology's mobile offerings
Featuring the ability to pair with two Bluetooth phones, the Griffin Technology SmartTalk Solar hands-free speakerphone uses a built-in solar panel to keep the device's battery charged for longer than a conventional battery-powered Bluetooth unit. The device began shipping on April 26.
Update brings 60 triggering actions, scriptability
Griffin Technology has released an update to its PowerMate management software. The PowerMate is a USB-attached knob, allowing users to control actions such as scrolling, volume, jog/shuttle, or a variety of other configurable tasks. It arrives preset to work with iMovie, FinalCut Pro and GarageBand, and can be assigned to interact with many other programs.
New Outfit, Outfit Shade cases for iPhone 3G
Griffin Technology has announced it's expanding the line of protective cases for the iPhone 3G and 3GS with additional patterns and hard cases. The company's Elan Form Etch cases which are made from a combination of leather bonded to a polycarbonate inner shell will be available in four additional patterns including Solstice Taupe, Stars, Chess Taupe, Rewind, 405 and Vintage Brown. Each case also comes with the EasyDock design that enables users dock the iPhone without having to remove it from the case.
Elan Form Etch ships
Griffin Technology has introduced its newest iPhone 3GS case, the Elan Form Etch. The new case is a polycarbonate inner shell bonded to a soft leather outer shell. The new case features an intricate etched pattern on the brown leather shell. The case allows for easy connection to docking stations, without requiring the case's removal.
Griffin launches new gear
Griffin Technology has released two new products for powering iPhones and iPods, the PowerBlock Reserve and the PowerJolt Reserve. The two products are available as a bundle as well. Each device uses the same power unit, the Griffin Reserve Battery Pack, which can be swapped between the two products. Any USB-rechargeable product is supported, including the iPhone and numerous iPods.
Griffin Technology has launched its latest audio offerings at Macworld with the SmartTalk Bluetooth headset. Equipped with dual-microphones in the earpiece, the device compares sounds between the two microphones to figure out what is the userís voice and whatís background noise. This helps the headset filter out any unwanted background and wind noise to provide better quality sound for the listener. With the in-ear fit and sound isolation capabilities, users are also expected to receive improved inbound audio clarity.
