Twitter update adds Mango compatibility & Japanese
Twitter has updated is app for Windows Phone. The software, used to share photos and to broadcast brief status messages, is now compatible with Windows Phone 7.5 (free, Marketplace). The instant messaging app ICQ is also being launched in its first Windows Phone version.

Skype to cut off Nimbuzz support by October 31
Nimbuzz , which provides free communications over the Internet through an app, was given until the end of the month to remove support for Skype by the VoIP company. The reason for this differs depending on who you ask, with Skype saying Nimbuzz cut off all talks with it over complying with API Terms of Use and the End User License Agreement. Nimbuzz, on the other hand, believes the request was made because Skype was trying to sever all ties with third-party VoIP service before its IPO.

DST buys ICQ from AOL for $187.5 million
The largest Internet company in the Eastern European markets, Digital Sky Technologies has purchased instant messaging program ICQ from AOL, the two companies announced on Wednesday. ICQ is the leading IM service in Russia and other international markets, and Digital Sky purchased it for $187.5 million.
