HTC to ship white Desire, black Legend in Europe
The HTC Legend and Desire will soon be available in Europe in black and white, respectively. The new models are due later in October and the official color names are phantom black and brilliant white. This marks the first time a white Desire will be sold, or an all-black Legend. HTC said major European carriers will sell the handsets, but did not specify names.

HTC Legend dropped by Bell due to parts shortages
The HTC Legend that arrived at Canadian provider Bell in mid-June has already been discontinued. According to a screenshot sent to MobileSyrup, this is due to an ongoing parts shortage, which is more than likely to mean the device's 3.2-inch AMOLED screen. The document adds that any remaining phones should be sold until they are out, and to keep offering extended warranties.

HTC Legend now at Bell Canada
The HTC Legend smartphone is now available at Bell Canada. The phone made its North American debut at Virgin Mobile Canada last weekend, which is owned by Bell. At either provider, the device costs $80 CAD (about $78) on a three-year contract, but Bell offers it for $400 CAD contract-free where Virgin Mobile prices it at $350 with the same terms.
