Japan’s Logitec has released what is claiming are the world’s smallest stereo Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR earphones. The LBT-PCHP02 series are designed for PC users, while the LBT-AVHP02 are designed for portable audio players. The batteries in both models allow for four hours of playback, while they weigh just a third of an ounce and are just 1.3 inches long and 0.23 inches thick.
Japan’s Logitec has developed a Blu-Ray upgrade drive solution for Mac Pros. The LBD-A12SAK/MW kit includes a copy of Roxio Toast Titanium 10, which adds Blu-ray burning support to the Mac line in lieu of any official support for Blu-ray from Apple. It has been tested with Final Cut Pro 7 and is capable of authoring a 24GB BD-Video disc in 10 minutes.
Sony on Monday reversed another one of its longstanding blocks against third-party support with news of a Designed for Walkman program. Similar to Made for iPod, the program finally allows third parties to develop and sell accessories for Walkman players based on Sony's proprietary WM-PORT connector; similar to the program for Apple's Dock Connector, it allows speaker docks and other add-ons that put out audio and video as well as charge the player.
