Marshall aims for high-end casual market with new Monitor headphones
Marshall has released its latest branded headphones dubbed the Monitor. The headphones are the first from Marshall that utilize an over-ear design, but is also relatively compact and features a collapsible design. Designed with studio listening in mind, the Monitor also incorporates an F.T.F insert that can be removed to allow a user to tailor their listening experience.

Marshall release Major 50 FX headphones
Marshall Headphones has released the Major 50 FX headphones. Claimed to have a sound quality that pays homage to the Marshall legacy, the physical design attempts to match the audio. Inner ear caps borrow the fret detailing used in the 50th anniversary line of amplifiers, the outer has gold accents and the same vinyl coating used for the Marshal amp line. Complete with an Apple-certified microphone and remote, the Marshall Headphones Major 50 FX are on sale for $170.

Marshall Hanwell home speaker invokes classic amp feel
Marshall Headphones in conjunction with Marshall Amplification has unveiled the first home audio product to bear its legendary script logo -- the Hanwell home speaker. The retro-styled speaker housed in a wooden cabinet and clad in black vinyl has a single 1/4 inch jack with analog controls for bass, treble, volume. The speaker has no announced price and no release date.

Marshall adds new all-black Major headphones
Marshall amplification has introduced a new version of its Major-series of headphones with an all-black model it calls the Major Pitch Black. In addition to a namesake all-black color scheme, the new headset picks up a denim headband designed to appeal to the muso crowd. To celebrate the launch, the company is also giving users who post a picture or video of themselves in corpse paint on their Facebook page the oppounity to win a custom-built Pitch Black Marshall amp.

Marshall amp founder dies
The audio industry lost one of its iconic figures early Thursday. Marshall founder Jim Marshall has died in a hospice at age 88 in the wake of both cancer and multiple strokes. The British amplifier pioneer is survived both by his four children and stepchildren as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marshall outs Major FX, Minor FX iOS headphones
Marshall, known for its guitar amps, has now shipped its expected Marshall FX headphones with Apple-certified inline microphone and remote control. They are divided into the over-the-ear Major FX and earbud Minor FX.

Marshall ships $59 Minor earphones with mic
Marshall, traditionally associated with amps for guitars, has now started shipping its first set of in-ear headphones. The Minor set was teased back in the fall, and join the over-the-ear Major headphones. The new earphones sport a built-in microphone and remote for use with iPhones, iPods and some other smartphones.

Marshall today finally launched its two inaugural headphone sets with promises of both the outer design as well as their sound. The over-ear Major is designed the most closely to recall Marshall's amps and uses both the vinyl from its stacks as well as a guitar-like coiled headphone cable. They have an optional quarter-inch plug for amps and stereos and have a collapsible design that folds the ear cups into the headband area.
