Windows Phone 7 Mango upgrade gets narrowed timing
Microsoft has narrowed down the date when it starts rolling out Windows Phone 7's Mango update, contacts slipped on Thursday. Both an upgrade for existing owners as well as new phones are poised to be available as soon as September 1. The information relayed to Pocket-lint had it timed with the start of the IFA show in Berlin and could see some of the first phones demonstrated, if not shipping, that day.

Microsoft handing out WP7 Mango devices to devs
Microsoft is about to give developers a headstart on developing for Windows Phone 7 Mango with a new device, insiders gave out on Tuesday. Test mules running the new OS should go out in a first wave next week. Which hardware wasn't identified for WinRumors, though ASUS' E600 and a developer-only Samsung phone, the Taylor, have been used in the past.

HTC Mazaa to get upgraded 12MP camera on WP7
HTC's just briefly hinted Mazaa phone has shown up in a scoop from well-known leaker Eldar Murtazin. The slip shows it to be a significant upgrade of the Trophy that will leap from a five-megapixel camera to 12 megapixels. Murtazin also spotted that the camera app lets you save settings and shoot in RAW, neither of which has been an option before.

HTC Mazaa WP7 phone leaks for Sprint
HTC could have an upgraded version of the Trophy inbound to Sprint as a leak has uncovered photos of a new model. So far codenamed the Mazaa, the Windows Phone 7 device would be near identical to the original but carry dual-mode CDMA and GSM like at Verizon. The XDA-Developers source suggested, however, that it might have faster DDR2 memory.
