Expansion mostly limited to minor towns
Sprint has expanded its LTE 4G coverage to 28 more towns in the US, according an announcement. The new locations are spread out across Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri, Mississippi, Minnesota, Washington, Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona, Michigan, Louisiana, Texas, and Massachusetts. Most of them are relatively minor; some notable names include Branson, Missouri, and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Plants not expected to build Apple hardware
Foxconn is considering establishing its first manufacturing plants in the US, according to "market watchers" cited by DigiTimes. Locations in cities like Detroit and Los Angeles are currently said to be under evaluation. Foxconn is based in based in Taiwan, and does most of its manufacturing in China, exploiting the cheap labor costs there.

Glass facades proving inherent vulnerability
Apple's Crocker Park retail store in Westlake, Ohio was hit by a smash-and-grab robbery on Friday morning, reports say. Surveillance video obtained by police shows three people smashing the front doors at about 4:30AM, which set off an alarm. The suspects were already gone in a minute however, having managed to take 24 notebooks and a lone iPod.

Apple co-founder to get honorary Eng. degree
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is scheduled to give the commencement speech at Michigan State University this spring. As noted by the Detroit Free Press, Wozniak will share duties with TIAA-CREF president and CEO Roger Ferguson Jr.; Wozniak will take the stage May 6th at 1PM for the undergraduate ceremony, and Ferguson will be present at the 7PM advanced degree ceremony. The undergraduate event will take place at Michigan State's Breslin Center, located on campus at Kalamazoo Street and Harrison Avenue.
