Nokia Black N82 N95 8GB

Nokia on Tuesday shipped out revisions to a pair of its most successful phones. The N82 now ships in black and provides a subtler look than the silver version that has until today been the only choice for the smartphone. The 5-megapixel camera with Xenon flash, GPS, Europe-focused 3G, and Wi-Fi all come through from the original model. The Finnish cellphone producer sees the updated N82 arriving in stores within three to four weeks at a price of 400 Euros ($631) in its home continent, but also sells the device in the US as an unlocked device for use with AT&T or T-Mobile.

Black Nokia N82 in US

Nokia today made a surprise release as a prelude to next week's Mobile World Congress. Although only announced in silver, a black version of the N82 has surfaced on the company's US store that promises the same design in the darker hue shared with the N95 8GB North America model. Beyond the textured line patterns on the back, the phone appears to closely resemble the original model and carries the same 5-megapixel camera with xenon flash, GPS, Wi-Fi, and 100MB of internal memory supported by a microSDHC card slot that holds the bulk of music, movies, and photos on the smartphone.

Nokia N96 Leak

Nokia's long-awaited sequel to the N95 smartphone may have been spotted, according to a leak posted in Mobile-Review's forums. Unlike the recent N82, however, flash lighting will come from two LEDs rather than a single Xenon bulb.

Nokia Internet Radio

Nokia today gave owners of its 3G smartphones a new alternative for music with the launch of its self-run Internet Radio service. The software is built not just to stream radio directly to the phone but also to encourage finding new music through filtering radio stations: users can not only sort the "hundreds" of stations Nokia says it lists by their names or genres, but narrow them down to specific countries or even languages; top ten lists also let users find stations based on their popularity. Like many streaming services, Nokia's service also features track data whenever available.
