Sony NEX-6 up for pre-order, ships November 16
The Sony NEX-6 is now official following several leaks ahead of its launch. The latest NEX mirrorless camera utilizes a new 16.1-megapixel APS-C image sensor and can shoot at up to 10fps. It also includes a built-in XGA OLED electronic viewfinder, built-in flash as well as Wi-Fi connectivity.
Image shows front view of NEX-6, offers few clues
Another image of the Sony NEX-6 has leaked online. Photography workshop director Vincent Kang put the images on Weibo.com, with the mirrorless camera posed next to three lenses, one being 24mm, another 50mm. Although the top section including the dedicated function key near the shutter has been seen before, the photograph gives a better view of the camera's final front-facing appearance.
Full specs of Sony's mirrorless NEX-5R leaked ahead of debut
Sony's upcoming NEX-5R that will be officially revealed on August 29 in London has been spotted in an official photo and all of its specs revealed thanks to Sony Alpha Rumors. The camera, alongside the NEX-6, made the rounds at the FCC earlier in the month as well, though this photo is much more official. The NEX-6, alongside the A99 and VG900, are due to be revealed at a different event on September 12.
Sony NEX-5R and NEX-6 leaked again
The Sony NEX-5R has been leaked again, this time with photos of the new mirrorless cameras. Where the previous leak came courtesy of an Sony Indonesian agency product inventory, the latest images come courtesy of Chinese site VR-Zone. While it might have been expected that the NEX-6 might have picked up the additional dial from the NEX-7, it looks as though Sony has given the NEX-5R a boost with the additional function control.
